Singing for the Spire Appeal
St Wendreda's Church has stood in March, Cambridgeshire for centuries. Its soaring spire and world-renowned carved angel hammerbeam ceiling have brought comfort, faith, and awe to generations of worshippers, locals, and visitors.
Preserving an ancient medieval structure requires immense dedication and funding. The current conservation campaign is focused on urgent maintenance for the spire, stonework, and protective rainwater systems.
How Your Contribution Helps:
- Spire Restoration: Critical structural stonework and timber conservation high above the church nave.
- Historic Preservation: Protecting the unique 15th-century angel ceiling from moisture and weathering.
- Community Hub: Ensuring St Wendreda's remains safe, warm, and open to host concerts, community aid, and worship for decades to come.
