Singing to Save St Wendreda's Historic Spire
St Wendreda's Church is famous across the United Kingdom for its breathtaking 15th-century double hammerbeam timber roof adorned with 118 carved angels — hailed by architecture historians as one of the finest church roofs in the world.
However, historic stone and masonry require ongoing stewardship. The church spire and roof structures are currently undergoing urgent preservation works to ensure this sacred community beacon remains standing proud for generations to come.
Every pound raised from the 12-Hour Sing-A-Thon directly supports St Wendreda's Church Aid and the spire restoration fund.
St Wendreda's Church, March
"A landmark of faith, music, and community spirit in the heart of Fenland."
